Mount Shasta Retreat Liability Waiver

Assumption of Risks

I am aware that participating in a retreat in a natural outdoor environment involves inherent risks, including but not limited to, weather conditions, wildlife, physical exertion, and other natural and man-made hazards. I acknowledge that activities during the retreat, such as hiking, meditation, yoga, sound healing, and other wellness practices, may involve physical exertion that could result in personal injury, illness, or in extreme cases, death. I voluntarily assume all such risks and responsibility for any personal injury, illness, property damage, or other loss arising from my participation, and forfeit all responsibility of Scarlett, AHA Sound Sanctuary, Queen Frequency LLC and all attendees. 

Medical Acknowledgement

I confirm that I am in good health and have disclosed any medical conditions or concerns that may affect my participation. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult a physician before attending the retreat if I have any underlying medical conditions or concerns. I assume full responsibility for managing my health during the retreat and for any conditions that arise as a result of my participation. 

Protocols and Code of Conduct

As part of the retreat experience, I agree to abide by the following protocols outlined by our retreat facilitators for maximum harmony, safety, and flow. 

• Abide by Instructions: I will follow all instructions provided by Scarlett de la Torre and the retreat facilitators to ensure the safety and flow of the experience.

• Harmony: I agree to maintain a peaceful and respectful environment, avoiding any unnecessary drama or disruptions that may affect the group’s experience. I will respect the attendees and facilitators.

• Mindful of Subtle Energies: I commit to being mindful of the subtle energies of others and the environment. I will respect personal space and be aware of the energy dynamics in shared spaces. I will respect the nature of ceremonial spaces, and comply with any requests for the purposes of maintaining harmony. 

• Buddy system: I will not wander off alone from the retreat space or during excursions or outdoor activities without informing the group. I understand that I must always inform someone of my whereabouts and use the buddy system for safety.

• Share Location Protocol: For each excursion, I will participate in the “share location” protocol on our phones to ensure the safety of the group. This will help facilitators and participants stay connected and aware of each other’s locations in case of emergencies or getting lost.

• No Part-Taking of Drugs or Sacred Medicines: I agree to refrain from consuming any sacred medicines not offered as part of the retreat experience. This includes cacao, cannabis, psilocybin, and any mind-altering or consciousness-expanding substances. This protocol is intended to maintain an energetically clear and sacred space for all participants.

Release of Liability

I hereby release, waive, and discharge Scarlett de la Torre, AHA Sound Sanctuary, and all of their affiliates, employees, volunteers, instructors, and retreat organizers (hereinafter referred to as the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action that may arise from my participation in the retreat, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise. This includes any claims for personal injury, illness, property damage, or wrongful death.

Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, actions, or demands that may arise out of or in connection with my participation in the retreat, including claims brought by third parties.

Photo and Video Release

I acknowledge that photographs and video recordings may be taken during the retreat for promotional purposes. I consent to the use of my image and likeness for marketing and promotional materials without compensation.

Governing Law

This waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of California.

Acknowledgement of Understanding

I have read this waiver and fully understand its terms. By signing below, I confirm that I freely and voluntarily assume all risks associated with attending this retreat and agree to the terms outlined above. If I am in violation of any of these guidelines; I understand that I will be asked to leave and without refund.
