When I first thought of asking Scarlett to help me write a song I was very nervous. For such an accomplished and beautiful musician to read my words and listen to my simple melodies seemed so intimidating.

Who was I to think that I could write a song for such a soul to sing?

And yet, from that first evening, when I gingerly shared thoughts and sounds with someone I didn’t know so well, I felt a wave of peace and sincerity settle that helped me to feel the song so deeply before it was even born.

Gradually Scarlett caressed our words into a monument of love, the soul words, not the poem. An important lesson for me.

Then, together, we found how to ground those words deep into the earth. As our song found its own energy we enjoyed sharing its light. I was excited and deeply moved.

It became clearer what the song would represent and why it was proposed, and I dreamt of performing it to complete its purpose. Which was to provide grounding, Divine feminine light for our event. A representation of our collective energy at the perfect moment, the fulcrum of the evening.

Thinking back to how it sounded and how it felt, of course it was powerful, incredibly moving and superlatively emotive.

But curiously my favorite part of my journey with Scarlett was the search for our song.

I loved every moment of the unique creative process. I found a way to let my heart sing with a wonderful maiden playing her harp and singing to the Gods.

I will never forget my journey with Scarlett.

Tremendously valuable and Divinely inspired, I loved the way she helped me to create the song inside my heart.
